Mason Rudolph is out for the Steelers. Good news for the Fish's draft pick, bad news for SNF.

I don’t know that they will win this game, but Arians has turned the Bucs into a respectable team.

Edit: No sooner do I post this than Jamie’s Winston fumbles on consecutive plays, the second of which was one of the dumber QB plays I’ve seen in the NFL.

I knew of the rule, but I don’t think I’ve ever seen a free kick attempt before.

So many questions. Could he have used a tee if he wanted? Does that get scored as a missed field goal attempt?

We got fairly close to seeing one in SB51 when Atlanta punted to the Pats with seconds left in regulation. Had the punt been about 10 yards shorter, or the same punt been kicked from about 10 deeper, we would’ve seen Edelman fair catch it and BB have Ghost attempt a free kick.

Last actual attempt was by Phil Dawson of the Niners in 2013. It would have been a 71 yard kick. Missed, obviously.

And you can’t do it off a tee at the pro level.

I don’t know how you miss that wide when you literally have no rush. I’m pretty sure you can do it off a tee too.

Ray Wersching is the last guy to make one back in 1976 for the Chargers, by the way.
I assume kickers only practice kicking off a tee for distance, so I understand why he opted not to use one there. 60 yards isn’t that long for an NFL kicker when you don’t have to clear the defensive line (and also don’t have to execute the snap and hold).

I found you can’t use a tee at the pro level but it still seemed like he panicked. It seemed like he had time to line that up like a goal kicker in rugby.

At this point, even if Cam's leg is healthy, don't you stick with Allen? Cam is great when he can run and pass and if he's not going to run, (even with a healthy leg) and he's got a bum shoulder, he's not the same threat.

It's crazy to think Cam is worse than some scrub but Allen has been excellent.

It’s almost like passing up that 54 yarder in the late third to go for fourth and six would’ve improved their chances to win, as opposed to keeping it an ‘X score game’ or some ‘extend the game’ bullshit.

Winston's entire career is defined by how hard he plays despite making too many mistakes

21 for 35 now. Credit Tampa for really shutting him down. If they didn't have 5 turnovers, this game would be coming up Tampa's favor.

I guess in this game, the over was the bet.

Interesting analysis from Irvin and Co. talking about Evans not working hard enough to get back to the ball. Most people would probably blame Jameis for those plays, but the WR does have some responsibility when it comes to helping out the QB deliver the ball where it needs to be.

Agreed on it being interesting analysis. Confirmed what my eyes were telling me. Evans looked completely disinterested those last 2 possessions.

Evans has amazing physical talent, but his fundamentals are not all there. The last pick was not Winston’s fault.
