They are saying 4 to 8 weeks and likely to be on the longer side. But Saquon is a physical freak, but if anyone can heal quickly, it's him. But I have heard talk about him coming back after the Giants week 11 bye.

That sucks!

I don’t think he’ll be fully healed until the offseason. High ankle sprains are just the worst, especially for a RB who makes a ton of cuts. Really unfortunate. Saquon is such a treat to watch.

The way he was hopping on one leg, he can outrun Sony right now.

Ryan Connelly is out for the year. He was off to such a hot start in his rookie year. Janoris "Jackrabbit" Jenkins and Deandre Baker look to be settling into LCB and RCB, Peppers in the LB/S hybrid moneybacker role. Too bad Connelly won't be out there getting playing time this year. The New York Football Giants are getting into their depth chart at LB, Lorenzo Carter, Tae Davis, Alec Ogletree and of course Connelly.

Two field goals in the last 6 quarters of football. Only 3 points given up today despite two fumbles lost and two interceptions. Home game against the Vikings next week, and Golden Tate is expected to play.

Five big days starting today. I would love to predict a New York Football Giants victory at home against the Vikings, but I think the game opens with Dalvin Cook running a lot of counters and misdirection to test our depleted LB corps. It's going to be difficult to keep the Vikings from establishing the run game and opening up the passing game so Cousins doesn't have to throw in tight windows and start feedings his unhappy pass catchers...so a typical Kirk Cousins formula for success. This game looks to be decided by turnovers, and it is hard to overlook Daniel Jones(3 INT, 2 fumbles in three games) and Wayne Gallman(6 fumbles on 187 career rushing attempts). If the New York Football Giants have a way to win this game, Dexter Lawrence and B.J. Hill should be able to get some A-gap penetration against the Vikings O-line. I'd really love to see some definition to how this young defense plans to establish themselves over the next few years. Too bad Connelly isn't out there, but I'd like to see Ximines, Baker, and some of the other rookies continue to improve on defense.

10/10 Thursday night football is on Danny Dimes day!

Is Saquon (I mostly hate autocorrect) playing Thursday? Seemed like he was getting close this week. I assume you’ll hope so even more, given the concussion incurred by his backup today.

He's playing. I have no idea of the severity of the injury, but they decided to go into the Sunday/Thursday gauntlet of Minnesota and New England defenses with Wayne Gallman(187 career carries), Jon Hilliman(10), and Elijhaa Penny(43).

Like you said, Gallman is out. They cannot sign anyone before Thursday, so he has to be playing.

Barkley may play Thursday but the Gallman injury should have NO effect on that decision.

The Gallman injury has no effect on that decision, because the decision was already made. Doctors, trainers, coaches, and Saquon Barkley made that decision. No free agent RB signed, with only two halfbacks and a fullback active. If they only have Hilliman and Penny active for Thursday, I expect the tackles(Solders and Remmers) and Daniel Jones to get tremendous pressure until they can prove there is a run game on the field. Saquon Barkley is going to play.

If he doesn't play, I have serious questions about how coaching and management planned for this week. Maybe this was Chris Mara's job as Senior Vice President of Player Personnel? I have wondered how he kept his job when they let Reese and McAdoo go...lol.

How did you come up with "Barkley may play?" Belichick already said probably.

Sorry, misunderstood what you were saying. I thought you were saying they had to play Barkley now that Gallman got hurt. But you were just saying based on their prior decisions they already planned on Barkley playing this week.

I was just saying you don't rush a talent like that back. Certainly not for a non-conference week 6 game. Barkley plays if there is no additional risk of further injury.

RB depth behind Saquon is another item to add to the offseason to-do list.

I'm excited to see how Daniel Jones plays in this game. The NFL allowed the New York Football Giants to have an alternate helmet for this game, so that should help him.

They’re showing the Scottish Game on NFLN right now, which I obviously haven’t watched in full since it happened. A few observations:

1) I completely forgot someone named Chris Hanson ever punted for the NEP

2) Our offense looks pretty similar, Brady in particular

3) They should’ve kicked a FG on 4th and 13 from the 32

Additional observations:

4) I hadn’t thought of Jeremy Shockey in probably close to a decade. He was sitting injured in the box with Satanic owner, John Mara.

5) Matt Light has about 15 false starts in this game.

6) I’d completely forgotten that David Tyree had a TD in this game. Why wasn’t he MVP?
