Here’s what we know:

- Bobrovsky to FLA for 7x$9.5
- Panarin appears down to NYI or NYR. NYI believed to be the front runner. CBJ made a late run at him last night but that has failed.
- Duchene to Nashville for 7x$8
- Mats Zuccarello to MIN for 5x$5.8
- Tyler Myers to VAN...numbers unknown on this monstrosity
- Brett Connolly to FLA for 4x$4.5
- Pavelski to Dallas for 3x$7; Corey Perry also to Dallas for 1x$1.5 plus incentives/bonus’
- Ottawa scooping up Leaf UFA’s Tyler zen is and Ron Hainsey
- Jason Spezza to TOR on a league minimum deal

Sorry, please delete. PSK beat me my a minute

We should take the “believe it when we see it” approach on offer sheets. The fact that Montreal is the team rumored to possibly do it reeks of clickbait speculation to me.

Ceci apparently is staying with TOR for the year, “Verbally” agreeing to a 1-year $4.5 million deal.

Which is weird as he was QOed by Ottawa at 4.3m so he was guaranteed that. That report ( Dreger ) makes absolutely no sense. I guess the confusion arises over conflicting opinions on his worth. I think most Leaf fans would rather have an extra 4.3m in cap space. Ceci also could go to arbitration whereupon the dream scenario is he wins and Toronto could simply walk away from the contract. They could also offer a longer term deal while lowering the AAV.

Not really sure what to expect from the B’s today. I guess and inconsequential G and then some kind of F? Seems like they have been priced out of Johansson, so I’m not sure they’d then turn around and sign Nyquist or someone like that. Guess bargain hunting?

Barring a trade that opens up salary, that's all they can do is bargain hunt. The focus is on their own RFAs.

@Bruins_stats says the Bruins signed Josiah Didier, spent last year on the Charlotte Checkers.

Given Marleau took a 1st to get rid of, I'm not holding my breath on a Backes solution that doesn't involve some salary retained - but the longer they wait, the more it'll cost

Price on Vesey was a 2021 3rd... NYR could've gotten more at the deadline in all likelihood

The amount of NHL teams completely ignoring guys falling off cliffs in their early 30's is mind blowing. Paying a 33 year old for his 30 year old performances is just insane. edit: talking about Stralman, but also like 5 other players

Vegas employed the “go over the cap, worry about it later” strategy this month. I think it works in some cases (like Vegas) but I’m not sure it’s viable for a team in the Bruins situation. Vegas had desirable trade assets like Colin Miller and Erik Haula that they could easily flip. The Bruins have Backes, an old shitty player who has no-trade protection. It’s not easy to move that contract. If it was, he’d be gone already. The longer this goes without them trading Backes, the more likely he’ll be in Boston next year. After today, cap space around the league will dwindle.

Yikes. I would happily attach a first if they had the top 6 lined up.
You seriously under value first round picks then. You see all of the crazy money being thrown around today? The best way to avoid having to do that is to keep and hit on your first round picks.

Yeah, there's also value in having cap flexibility in-season. The Bruins have historically preferred to take that approach, and I support that. Unless they are going after an elite player and need to squeeze them in.

Agreed. Vegas can also squeeze every last dollar now knowing they can use Clarkson on LTIR once season starts.

Three more years of #CliffyHockey. #NHLBruins have agreed to terms on a three-year extension with Connor Clifton worth $3 million total. He has one year left at $725k, extension can be papered as soon as today.

I love this deal.
