Clarke’s probably one of the most nba-ready guys in the draft. I don’t like this for the Memphis pick.
Honest question...who did you want at #3 in 2016?
Almost all mocks had 3-8 or so as Bender, Hield, Chriss, Dunn, Murray, Brown.
This place would have exploded if they took Hield. Murray has been better, but not by a whole lot.
Memphis has gotten somewhat better. Probably not enough to drop them out of bottom 5 this year
I'd want Jerome too. I don't get the Bol thing. He's going to get pushed around like he's on wheels.
He has two elite-level skills. That is not true of a single other guy remaining.
Will he work out? Very likely not....but you gotta take some shots when you have picks at this point given the roster and such. And he has top 5 pick upside.
I think Bol has huge bust potential, but I also see him as a lottery ticket. These picks at 20+ are worth so little, if you have multiple, why not take a flier on him?
Free high 2nd to move back 4 picks at a time in the draft where everyone is close?
It's very good value if you don't want Thybulle and have at least 2 guys equal since you pick at 22.
On another note, I'm trying to think of what pick at 22 who would piss me off the most.... it's either Davis or Dort
This is my sense. I'm trying hard not to get bummed out here, but I can't help but think Danny is making the dumb Bill Simmons "ooh, pedigree" mistake over and over with these picks in the teens.
Anyway, he'll probably be great.
The claim is that he has touch, ball skills, and can shoot. Plus tall.
Bad body, and bad injuries of course, but that's why he's around in the 20s.
Bol Bol’s best skill is being someone that people have heard of, which is generally the most important aspect of evaluating draft prospects.
I understand picking up a free pick but this stikes me as mostly a transaction with almost no value realized. The pick will probably be traded/sold to the Lakers.
At 24, i can see the value of taking a shot on Bol, sure he's probably going to break, but he's got a lot of skill for his size an most guys drafted here are lotto tickets, might as well go for the Powerball instead of a scratcher.

Maybe there's no value according to the chart, but what if you know the next player on your board probably isn't getting picked? Might as well grab back some of that value.

Having said that we just drafted a poor man's Jared Sullinger. Ugh.
I do like the Romeo pick though.
