That 2003 team scored the second-most runs in team history (961, behind only 1950's 1027, which was 6.67 / game). Seemed like they were never out of a game (but then again, if Pedro wasn't pitching, the lead was never safe, either). The 1950 team only hit 161 HRs, though, and it was good for 2nd in the AL (behind CLE's 164 and ahead of MFY's 159), but way behind the Dodgers' 194.

What is the suicide thing and what does it have to do with home runs?
The suicide thing is that Stahl, who led the team in home runs in 1906, committed suicide during 1907 spring training. But since so many don't find this to have been an interesting topic, it shall be gone.
