His play since late November has pretty clearly exceeded his minutes and role.

I mean, as a start, having him play a lot next to Rozier while Rozier hogs the ball is criminal imo. Brown simply isn’t getting the reps he would get on another team.
He somewhat struggled in February after being great in December and January. He shot .452/.282/.640 in 11 games in February. He's 1/10 from 3 so far in March. His 3 point % for the year is back down to .309. Kind of worrisome. He has made significant progress on the defensive end, though. He seems to be getting more deflections as time goes on and has been a steal machine of late. This summer for him will be a very important one.

But yeah, I can't wait to be done with Rozier. I hope he doesn't come back even if Kyrie is gone.

This is the problem imo: we said this last summer too. There's a lot you can do in the summer, but there's also a ton of development that happens for young players just from getting reps in games, in season.

I get why the Celtics managed him the way they did this year--there were/are a ton of constraints on the team, and it was meant to be a championship team, not a developmental one. I get it. In the context of this thread, however, wrt Kyrie's potentially walking, it sucks that he wasn't able to get as much opportunity this year.

Well the easiest way is for Danny to work out a deal with 24/7 Sports Mgmt. where Irving leaves via a sign & trade so that Boston generates a large TPE. Then you build a deal around Brown/Rozier via s&t/Memphis #1 for Beal. (A non simultaneous trade where Beal gets traded into the exception for the Memphis pick and then Brown & Rozier get traded into Washington's exception for a conditional #2 that never conveys.)
With the new CBA rules in regard to sign and trades, do you think we would have to add an asset to our side of the transaction to sweeten the pot enough to make it worth NYK's helping us gain an asset? If yes, what kind of asset?

Isn’t it up to Kyrie, and therefore the relationship between him and Danny combined with his guilt over leaving? If Kyrie says “oh, just one more thing...”, the Knicks aren’t letting that condition stand in their way when it doesn’t cost them anything. Maybe we throw them one of our own picks or something as a thank you,
