That call was like the one that Blakeman had at the end of Pats-Panthers a few years ago. So obvious and yet was not called.

Yeah, that miss was the worst in a game with a ton of missed calls (i.e.,the facemask the drive before.
Saints got fucked no doubt. NFL does its best to kill the golden goose every year with incompetent officiating.

So, what actually is the rule? It would be nice to know. When can you hit the player? If it’s when the ball is parallel to the receiver using the goal line as the reference that was very very close.
Usually it’s when the ball gets to the receiver but that was weird because the ball was leading the receiver. I mean, it looks like a penalty but it would at least be nice to know how bang bang a call it was under the rule.

They had 2 before the FG attempt.
Would have had around 18 seconds and 2 FG's. Start on the 25 yard line, try to make 35 yards doesn't seem impossible.

Well if Brees keeps making throws like that. Of course, he just got the make-up call that was directed by the league in order to paper over the horrible no-call.
And it bears repeating - Drew Brees is playing like shit.
