I don’t know how not to root for Nick Foles. He’s the best thing about sports...all he does is make the most of his opportunities and come up big on the biggest stage.

Brutally slow hold and turn by O'Donnell on recovering what was otherwise a decent snap by Scales. From there Parkey has to adjust and delay his swing so he doesn't go full banana peel slip, pictured below. Fucked with his timing badly. Then Parkey compensated with a little bit low on the point of connect for more power. Ugly.

All the Bears had to do was rest their starters in Week 17 and let the Vikings win.
You can’t win with that mentality. It’s telling your players you’re scared.

Yup.

When he nailed the iced one, I figured "man, he crushed it with a not that great snap. Now they've had practice, he'll drill the next one even better."

Unreal.

Foles and Philly fit. If I could get 2 firsts from Wentz, I’d let him go.

as a result of that bullshit, every WC team who won this week will play their next game at the same time of week as the WC games.

I was hoping you would have an idea of what happened, because I thought the timing looked all messed up too, compared to the first kick. Still can't believe how close it came and didn't go in. You almost wish he would have just shanked it or had it blocked than for that to happen.

So yes you should execute a 44 yard FG.... but Nagy not taking a TO when the Eagles had the ball was awful. They could have had 40 more seconds (probably 30 since they couldn't have taken a TO after the Robinson catch.

Not the Eagles. They’re playing Saturday night.
nope, it's Dallas @ LA Rams.

as far as this game... Mack was pretty well-contained. one of his signature huge plays and the Bears win.

Trubisky played well for him but he could have had long TDs with perfectly thrown balls a couple times instead of just long gains with this receivers falling making the catch. another TD and they win.

ridiculous the Eagles are alive after being 6-7. the Rams should have taken care of them week 15, fuckers.

I fucking knew it. I hate the Eagles.

Thanks, and this is well stated. The timing was trash and that will never be written by the history books. Much as I have my concerns and drawbacks of the power move there, kind of get doing so since he was possibly concerned (understandably so!) about the kick being blocked. Given the circumstances, miracle it was that close to being a successful try. I've seen lesser kickers do less with a closer distance, and similar intial screwups.

And yeah, selfishly, I'd rather see that go wild like Walsh against the Seahawks at TCF or blocked so people could see it was more a team fuckery problem.

Chicago outplayed Philly.

Probably part ofthe reason NO is a 9 point favorite.

I honestly thought Foles looked like dogshit for most of the night but he did make a really sweet adjustment in his throwing motion on the final TD pass to Tate and still threw it accurate.

But it's on the Bears that philly was even in a position to make that throw matter. They squandered a fuckton of opportunities.

it's also worth pointing out again, since the Bears lost by a single point, that the Bears had a great chance at a TD to end the first half, but the refs' early whistle and a dogshit rule made it an incomplete pass.

Eagles totally lucked out.

So basically this is what killed the game for Chicago, right here in the third quarter:

1-10-PHI 49 (6:37) PENALTY on CHI, Defensive Too Many Men on Field, 5 yards, enforced at PHI 49 - No Play.

1-5-CHI 46 (6:15) (No Huddle) D.Sproles left tackle to CHI 43 for 3 yards (R.Smith).

2-2-CHI 43(5:32) (Shotgun) N.Foles pass incomplete deep left to J.Matthews. PENALTY on CHI-P.Amukamara, Defensive Pass Interference, 33 yards, enforced at CHI 43 - No Play.

1-10-CHI 10 (5:26) (Shotgun) N.Foles pass short middle to D.Goedert for 10 yards, TOUCHDOWN Bears only had 10 man on the field

That interference call was absolute bullshit and while I don’t dislike Collinsworth like some do here, his endorsement of that call was terrible.

The 'drop that was a catch but wasn't because no one recovered the fumble' hurt the bears
The PI on Prince when Matthews was grabbing him and the the next series where the PI wasn't called for the Bears really changed the course of the game.

Plus Foles magic on the end of game FG

Also that TD drive should have been a 3 and out but unnecessary roughness penalty on 3rd down on the Bears kept it alive.

The early whistle helped the Bears if anything. It would’ve been Eagles ball if it wasn’t blown.
Maybe the whistle blew but the back judge picked up a live football, which forced the referee into a compromised review decision.

My hatred for the Eagles, their fans and that outcome cannot be measured.

Fuck.

Exceeded only by that for ...?

Where U been? Not my section. Stay out of the upper deck and PM me for tix if you want to take in Baltimore.

This is why police vastly prefer baseball games.

I miss the FlyEaglesFly Pats fans of two weeks ago when they beat Houston.

Just in case you all missed it, that last second FG was tipped by Trayvon Hester of the Eagles. There are slow mo replays on the twitter if you’re interested.

The Yankees and their miscreant fan base.

But we need not rank order hated teams and fanbases. I will easily stipulate to anything you want about Ravens fans. I was at the Monday night game there in 2007. What a hideous lot of life forms.

But now, in 2019, I have the unique pleasure of living on a block in northern NJ with six, count em six, rabid Eagles fans on it.

My hatred knows no bounds.

And yes, thanks Nick Foles for the help with the bye. That was nice. Now go fuck yourself.
