Will the Divisonal round schedule be announced after tonight’s game or just next weekend’s games?

I’m sick of the constant night games at home. Getting home at 2am sucks if you go to the game. staying up until midnight sucks 1pm games rule.

The AFCC is also the late game the next week.
Haha I totally understand that! I live over 8 hours away & am contemplating coming for the game if it’s Saturday night but can’t come if it’s Sunday.

I’ve always wondered why Kraft likes that 8pm Saturday slot so much in the playoffs. Has that ever come up with STH discussions? I know the Patriots don’t have a “State of the Bruins” like we do as B’s STH’s but I didn’t know if that question was ever asked.

It's not Kraft. I think the networks have a lot of say, even assuming the League makes the actual decision.

Were the Sunday games moved to 3:00 and 6:30 like the championship games are? For both wild card and divisional weekends? I know it was discussed can’t remember if it was enacted.

Last year it was a 1:05 PM kickoff.

NBC gets 1 of the AFC divisional games. I assume NBC wants Mahomes.
I assume they want the Pats. They are the Yankees of the NFL. No matter who plays Saturday night the game will get ratings but the Pats will get the biggest rating. Maybe LA would be bigger I dunno.

Right I thought they talked about moving it after last year
Don't remember anything about that, but it would make things easier on the League. I'm sure they would want to bury the Rams game but obviously a 1 PM EST kickoff isn't going to fly.

Won’t the Rams get ratings because LA? Didn’t they play Saturday night last year in the WC round?

Brady and the love em or hate em Pats will dwarf Mahomes and small market KC in the ratings. The NFL may want to build its future marketing around Mahomes but this season Brady will bring the eyeballs.

They wouldn't want to bury the game especially if the Bears win. Chicago-LA would be a big rating given their market sizes.
The times are decided before the WC games are played.

Does LA even care about football? I think they are going to be afraid that depending upon the opponent the Colosseum is going to be filled with the other teams fans.

Yeah, and it's about ratings--of the top 2 seeds in each conference, the Rams are the least attractive from that standpoint.

I love the Pats getting the Saturday night game for the simple fact that it gets them extra rest and gameplanning time. Plus I like knowing who to root for in the later games, i.e. team that gives Patriots easiest path vs. team that I find most tolerable.

NBC just flashed the divisional round schedule.

It's KC at 4P on SAT, Rams at 8:15P on SAT, Pats at 1P on SUN, and NO at 4:40P on SUN.

Lots of chips thrown into the LAR pile there.

whoever said NBC wanted Mahomes was right. and I guess as shawnrbu says CBS/FOX are alternating primetime spots.

Very surprised but If the NFC is going to be the late game both times it doesn't matter which order I guess.

Edit: Will add that I thought they typically alternated early-late between conferences. Not this year.
