espn:
With the Titans win, It is believed the Ravens (8-6) must beat Chargers to avoid being eliminated in the wild-card race. The reason is because Titans and Colts play in finale. Either Titans get to 10 wins (which would be one more than Ravens could reach) or Colts get to nine wins (and they presumably have strength of victory tiebreaker over Ravens).

That’s Lamar Jackson against an athletic defense. He’d gut us like a fish.

Meh, it ain't about athleticism, it's about game planning. I couldn't fill up a hand's worth of running quarterbacks that have done shit against Belichick's defenses in the last 20 years. We eat them alive. And that's usually guys that can throw the ball a little bit. Jackson can barely do that.

Tirico as Jackson drops back "They're going to throw on 1st down."

Umm, give it a second Mike, he's just gonna tuck it and run.

We likely couldn’t stop their running game and cover their tight ends. They’d beat the shit out of us and he would find creases.

So why does Jackson get “forward progress” when he holds the ball forward past the line to gain and then voluntarily pulls it back behind the line before getting tackled? Wouldn’t that be like a runner crossing the line and then voluntarily stepping back behind the line? In either case it’s not like he got knocked back.

They marked that like it was a touchdown. And it wasn't a touchdown, and first down line isn't the goal line. It was a bad spot. NFL.

Almost every first down they have had has been negated by a penalty. The call against Keenan Allen was a calamity because it cost them a red zone chance and it wasn't even remotely in the same galaxy as a penalty.

GJGE Chargers. Same old losers as always.
I forgot about your rooting interest in this one. LOL.

Chargers have never matched up particularly well against Ravens. I still don’t expect this to last.

Keenan Allen then drew attention to himself by barking at the official and then did commit an illegal shift.

We’re in week 16 and the play is matching the officiating.

He should have barked. That call against him was horrendous.

He did commit the illegal shift, however.
