Hard to tell what we have this year after that Jekyll and Hyde opener. Awful start, but they turned it on and blew them out in the second half. First half was really ugly, with bad shooting resulting in a couple of long stretches without a field goal. Not coincidentally, shaky start from Bowman but then he played well in the 2nd. Chatman was off. They will definitely need him and others to step up and score against better teams, especially when Ky has an off night.

Mediocre debut for Hamilton. He looked good on the boards and you could see the athletic ability, but not a good shooting night. He didn't start, and only played half of the game (with no foul trouble). Not what I was expecting from our highest rated recruit in 20 years, but obviously plenty of time for him to ramp it up.

On the bright side, Tabbs looked REALLY good! We'll see what happens as the competition gets tougher, but he looks like he'll be a major contributor.

Herron got a few significant minutes and didnt look out of place.

Looks like Vin Baker may lose the few minutes he got last year. If he spent any time in the weight room this summer you can't tell.

And Mitchell's shot looks as messed up as ever so he needs to just focus on grabbing boards and playing defense. Bowman/Tabbs are going to have to lead the scoring charge every night while Pop/Chatman alternate as the 3rd scorer. Hopefully at some point Hamilton joins them but he looks raw to me right now. The athleticism is certainly real though. This team is only going to run 6 or maybe 7 deep so any injuries will be devastating.

I didnt watch this one, but the box score is alarming. 0 points, 0 assists from the bench. I can't remember the last time I've seen that. Maybe never. I knew they wouldnt be deep, but, wow.

Jairus Hamilton had better get it going. Biggest recruit we’ve had in a long time and he can’t even score against St. Francis. I mean, c’mon.

getting absolutely destroyed on the offensive glass by a mid-major like this is embarrassing

Disgusting effort. I rail on Daz but canning Christian needs to be priority #1 for Jarmond. His teams never get better at basically anything.

Definitely a smaller crowd than the St. Francis game. Maybe a few dozen BU fans thought the St. Francis Terriers were the BU Terriers and showed up for that game by mistake?

How can a Division 1 school not have anyone show up for a game when it's not Finals week or Christmas break? Are the students really that disinterested?

Sad. Annoying. Pathetic. Embarrassing.

They could have used some juice from the crowd. But from what I could see there were more kids on the bench than in the stands.

Not that there's ANY excuse for it to be even close, but down 2 with 30 sec to go and they play really good D only to see a backup guard hit a Steph Curry-esque bomb from the logo as the shot clock expired. Game over. UGBFKM.

I wouldn’t be interested in watching this garbage team either.

Wasted time camping out at 4:30AM for Gameday.

Plus BC is weird. They don't cram, they just spend more and more time studying as it gets colder/closer to Finals. September they have all the time in the world.

I also thing the times have changed with extracurriculars/internships/work. Both doing and looking for.

They really only show up on Fridays (during the Fall)

Is it possible that IUPUI is actually decent? They lost to Xavier by 13 and trailed them at halftime by only 3, in Cincinnati before a crowd of 10,000+. Trying to stay positive.

Jairus can be a stud if he would stop hanging out at the 3 point line so much and go to the hoop more. 5 for 9 overall today for 11 points with a couple of strong moves in the paint. All 4 misses from 3. Maybe he'll hit the 3s eventually, but he can overpower a lot of guys right now with his strength and athletic ability.

Good to see them get a win against a decent team with Bowman having a sub-par scoring night. Pretty good balance led by Chatman with 20. Pop played well coming off the bench due to the injured groin. Even Herren chipped in a couple of 3s.

Didn't get to see this game but it's a good sign that they can a fairly easy win over a pretty good team with Bowman having an off night. Last game he was unconscious the entire time and they still nearly blew a huge lead.

Beating a pretty decent Minnesota team tonight would be a very nice win. I'm a little surprised that BC is favored (-1) but MN is good not great. Not to be a downer, but I'd confidently take MN.

What's the over/under on fans at the game? 50? Monday after Turkey 9PM in a rainstorm. FUN!

I will be pretty surprised if BC wins this one. I'll believe this team can be consistently good when I see it.

Pretty solid 12 point win by BC against Minny, especially considering both Ky and Chatman had very poor offensive nights.

Popovic went off in the second half throwing up 18 points in about 13 minutes, and playing strong defense.

WInston Tabbs was pretty easily the best player on the floor overall tonight

Tabbs looks like a stud. Hopefully Hamilton ends up more than just a guy who makes a few athletic plays a game, very disappointed in him so far, certainly doesn't look like BCs best get in years.

Was at the game. Nice win. Hamilton looks like a basketball player. And then they inbounded the ball.
Yeah. Hamilton is not the instant stud I think we might have hoped, but he is starting to contribute, and I suspect will improve as the year goes on. I think he will be a good ACC player in a year or so. Maybe never a great one, but he is big , athletic, and definitely has some skill

I’m going to be pissed if Hamilton is another Garland Owens. This program desperately needs him to be another impact player. Hope he figures it out soon.

I don't think that is a real concern. He is already arguably a better player than Owens. I do hope he develops into someone who can maybe average 6pts/3.5 reb a night in say 18 minutes as we move into ACC play this year

I think the real question is does he top out as a Uka Agbai type. A big body who gives you 11/6 a night.

Or does he end up being a Teddy Hawkins type who maybe gives you 15/7. With still the potential to be better than that

He needs to be a double digit scorer as soon as next year. He's light years away from that right now. This year, he needs to be in the 6-8ppg range. I love the potential but am admittedly disappointed with the early returns.

Is he a bad shooter or just off to a slow start? 2-14 from 3 and 7-16 FTs so far are a concern for sure, but still a sss

He had a reputation as a pretty good outside shooter coming from HS, and I don't think his shot looks that bad. He seems to be pressing a bit. I suspect he will at least get that number up to around 30% as the season goes on.

The highlight videos that I remember watching showed a pretty fluid motion, if I recall correctly. I think his mind is just racing 1000mph and we’ll see improvement once he settles down.

Huge game from Tabbs last night. Not saying he's as good as Robinson yet, but he's doing a great job making up for the hole in the offense that opened up when Jerome left.

Good 1st half from Hamilton last night, then he disappeared in the 2nd. But the progress is encouraging.

Always look forward to the old school Big East rivalry games. Should be a good matchup with Providence tonight. I'm hoping since it's on ESPN2 the students will show up and give us a home court advantage. In other games it's just quiet like a neutral site. With this one there's a distinct possibility it sounds more like an away game.

They're making an effort to reel them in, giving free t-shirts for first 500 students, but with finals starting next week, I doubt it will work. There will probably be 498 Gold Passers going in and out for the T-shirt.

Tabbs looks like a pretty damn good two way player. This would be a nice win if they are able to close it out.

Hamilton isn't doing much offensively but looks much more active.
