Rd 2 was real hard to score. Ferguson got dropped early but then came back strong
Pettis was also landing counters off the cage; I lean 2-0 also, but it was really close
I just have a tough time believing a guy that caught two beatings from Nate Diaz is going to beat Khabib, but that left hand is a game changer.
Diaz was heavier. Khabib doesn’t move his head. He’s going to get hit. If he can’t take the power, he won’t take Conor deep enough for it to matter. Does Khabib have a chin?
Completely agreed. But the diving attempt at the rolling armbar says something, IMHO. Either that Pettis knew his hand was broken and needed a miracle or that he knew he was losing the round.
Four cancellations, two times Khabib got hurt or failed his cut, twice Tony got hurt, it went both ways.
I know they get towel dried at some point because they are checked for topical agents (grease used to slip out of subs/takedowns) but they do warm up.
