Hyperbole and hot takez aside, I will be surprised if the A's dont score against the Yankees. Severino is going to have a rough inning or at least keep throwing lots of pitches. Severino has an sOPS+ of 123 in the second half of the season.
They’ll score a run in the 8th when it’s 6-0 Yankees

Why does it sound like James Woods is in the booth?

Making him throw a lot of pitches at least. Keep it close, MFY go to Chad Green who can be a little homer prone, and then the A’s get a couple men on and pop one.

Any team with good hitters and a steady approach can have this guy out of the game in 5 innings or less.

Just doesn’t have the bite and finish in his pitches that he might have started the season with.

Sevy’s pitch count is getting up there. Maybe their bullpen will be bad tonight.
55 pitches through three. And it won't get easier as he sees the meat of the A's order. As long as the A's can keep this close, this game is no where close to over.

Severino is no hitting the A's! Boone is a genius!
I imagine that the entirety of Aaron Boone’s brain activity is “Remember that home run I hit 15 years ago?” Then he chuckles to himself before receding into sadness as he realizes that nobody likes him.

Wolf has a decent strike zone but he isn't giving the generous low and away. Let's see how the A's power hitters do this time through against Severino.

Stumptown via Chelmsford
Australian white flag and Trivino have a combined pitch count of 53 through 3 IP. That's 2 less than Severino.

But Severino's throwing a no hitter! Aaron Boone is outmanaging everybody!
