This seems like a solution without a problem. Who gives a shit if two guys split the two victories?

If the winner of that one tournament gets paid $15 mil, I imagine the guy in 1st place cares a lot. That's a nice little advantage to have over the field with a huge purse at stake.

regardless is Xander's ruling is fine according to the book...seems a little bush league to me that he gets a much easier shot because "he would've hit the shot lefty" and now he gets to hit it righty...ill hang up and listen

I didn't see it, but I know and have used that rule. It's just a part of the game. Look, most times you don't really need or "deserve" free relief when your stance happens to be on a golf cart, what with most people using not only soft spikes, but rubber soled golf shoes these days. But, like many other rules, when it's available, you use it.

Now, of course it really must be true that you would have hit it lefty (or righty if you're left handed); but if it is, I don't see any problem with it.

15th looks like it eats golf balls during non-Tour play. About 190-210 over water to a green with water on both sides. Looks like it’s the 18th for normal play. Ruined a fair share of rounds I’m sure.

pretty crazy that the projections right now (if rickie wins) has Rickie winning the Fedex all the way from position 23

Tiger with a dart into 18 from 255, walked it down the fairway. Eagle putt upcoming.

Would be fitting if this is where he gets a win. This time last year I never in a million years would’ve thought he’d ever make it back to the TC.

Rickie with his 4th straight round of 65. Definitely rounding into form for the Ryder Cup, looks like the oblique is holding up ok.

Also - fuck Citi for using Bon Iver to get me to like Justin Thomas. Borderline ruining that song for me.

So, that was the best round I’ve seen out of Tiger in about a decade. Looked in balance and in control.

He’s all the way back. (Or, at least as far back as his 42 year old fused spine can make it.)

Here's his path to winning the FedEx Cup. In addition to winning he needs:

-- No. 1 Bryson DeChambeau finishes T15 or worse
-- No. 2 Justin Rose finishes three-way for 5th or worse
-- No. 3 Tony Finau finishes T3 or worse
-- No. 4 Dustin Johnson finishes in a three-way tie for 2nd or worse
-- No. 5 Justin Thomas finishes in a three-way tie for 2nd or worse
-- No. 6 Keegan Bradley finishes T2 or worse

Rose had an unforgettable start - bogey-bogey, while Tiger went birdie-par. Tiger with a 1 shot lead now, but over Rory, who is striping it so far in his round.
