The Miami pick is owed in 2021. Real upside move potential, I wanted Ainge to target it. I doubt Riley let’s Miami be that terrible in a year they won’t be actively tanking but man that team has some cliff potential.
Ok, I didn't realize it was 2021. I think it could fall anywhere from 5-20 if that's the case. I thought it might have been 2019. I think the Heat are going to be really,. really bad this year.

I agree on the regression, but the question is why? Nagging injury? I'm pretty sure the coaching was at least adequate. Has the staff turned on him?
Could be one of several factors (just my opinion here, and I might be biased because I am absolutely not a fan):

A. Numerous injuries during his junior season
B. Withered mentally under the scrutiny and backlash over his repeated tripping infractions
C. Is a bit of a ballhog who needs to be the go-to-guy, and struggled to take a lesser role in the offense and play a complementary role with multiple, 1-and-done, future NBA lottery picks

While this may be a smart move by Sixers, I can’t help but think it again looks like their front office is a mess. They will def have some explaining to do around the water cooler.
They picked up a future first which is always good to have, made it easier to open up max cap space this offseason and got a player they really like. I don’t like it from a talent perspective of the players picked but I get the logic.

Zhaire Smith can’t shoot for shit. Weird fit in Philly.
You don't see anything wrong with a perimeter lineup of Simmons, Fultz, and Zhaire in todays game?

Obv sarcasm......these Sixers don't deserve Embiid and Simmons with the shit they do.

Bridges is a better player, and not by a little. 2021? Philadelphia could be under water by then and the Sixers could be playing their home games in Harrisburg.

Riles won't last forever. His facial skin has already imploded to sub-gravity levels.

So Robert Williams for C's? Seen some Clint Capela comps, that would be nice. HRB you don't like him, don't like that comp?

KOC, thinks it's a great trade for PHI. I dont watch college basketball so I dont know, but it's a great trade for me for the comedy angle.

Thanks Ponch, I appreciate the details.

My Duke focus this year was on Trent Jr., I watched his dad earn his Shaq of the MAC title at Ohio.

So what was that statement on Smith?

"Smith is the first non ESPN 100 recruit to make it be drafted in in the first round"?

Huh? I know Robinson was a no one in HS.

Big variable in the Sixers trade is whether the Miami pick has protections.

So Philly had the most mature wing in the draft, someone they could plug and play immediately, a good long range shooter with a solid all around game, and they move him for an athletic freak who can't shoot very well?

Yeah - that statement didn't make a lot of sense.

So stoked my Nuggets got Porter Jr. it's a gamble, sure, but one a team stuck in NBA purgatory (not bad enough for top picks; not attractive enough for superstar free agents) has to take.

Murray/Harris/Porter Jr. (if healthy)/Milsap/Jokic is an intriguing starting 5 with upside

The Miami 2021 pick is one of the best draft assets not owned by the original team still out there. Those assets are incredibly valuable when you're building a contender, since you can deal them for stars without the receiving team worrying that the star will devalue the pick.

I thought I read something that Smith shot well for PHI's workout. Other workouts not so much.
