He's putting his football Sunday show on the app among other ventures he hasn't announced yet. He also said he wants to get other people involved with content.
The announcement stated:

The "Mike's On" app and website will be the exclusive home of the "Mike's Football Sunday" show, beginning with the 2018-19 football season. It will also provide exclusive audio and video archival content of Francesa dating back through his storied 30-year career at WFAN, in addition to a live audio stream of Francesa's WFAN show for sports fans in New York and throughout the country. The app will be free to download in summer 2018 and will offer a subscription option for fans who want to hear and view additional content. WFAN and "Mike's On" will be hosting live events across formats and venues, including live broadcasts, one-on-one interviews and a speaker series. For more information, visit www.mikesonnetwork.com.

A guy called in and asked about Mike’s baseball over/unders. He could think of 5, but couldn't remember the last over. So he really starts thinking. To the point he says nothing for 8 seconds. Total silence. Not long, but in radio that's an eternity for dead air.

He’s still got it!
I also saw that he claimed he took the Reds as an under when he didn’t. Some things never change

Jason in CT: "Hello Mike, great to have you back. Do you think Matt Harvey will be in the bullpen longer than your retirement was?"

Mike: "Ya moron."

Pretty sure it was Justin....but no biggie. He got cut-off for the follow-up:

Justin tells me (Funhouse app on Twitter) the follow-up question was "Is it true that you rubbed two Diet Cokes together and said there's no place like home?"

sounds like entercom's lawyers have gone after some of the twitter parody accounts. this seems almost as brainless as mlb going after people posting .gifs of baseball...in that they have zero understanding how they bring interest to their brands

Apparently he's going to be LIVE at the Twitter office in NYC. 'I'm at twitter to send my very first tweet!!' I wish there was a world in that by the end of the day he only has 141 followers.

I wonder who is driving this train -- there's obviously someone in his ear about this new technology and "everything it can do for him." I assume it's not Simmons, otherwise he'd be doing all of this through the Ringer.

Yea there is no way he'll release numbers. This app could fail miserably. On my android in the app store it has a 2.5 rating; rated by 78 people and 1 thousand downloads. You don't have to pay to download it, i think you then subscribe to it within the app. You might guess that he needed to get the bulk of his subscribers now at the onset as i doubt he would get a steady stream of new subs as time went on. Unless the content was out of this world.

"....Red Sox did all the little things they had to do to win and the Yankees didn't. Knows the yankee fans are out for blood from Boone and Stanton. Doesn't matter how many home runs you hit. Sox were better......" or something like that

Ding dong Mike is talking about how CC got screwed by Angel more than Rick. Well maybe he wasn't close enough to th plate dickhead! Sabathia looked like shit. Sour grapes crybaby. Then he talks about how the MFY are a more complete team than the Sox. Then he contradicts himself talking about how incomplete the MFY are (LOL). Not enough from the starters and too homer heavy. Yeah we know Houston is probably more complete but not enough to be a heavy favorite. Oh -- now he just CHANGED what he said in the first minute and declared the Sox more complete than the Yankees! Does he even remember what he said anymore??

Thinks the Yankees are too feast or famine and need more starters. They didn't need Stanton and he's not a good fit for the team. The Red Sox were more complete and had more ways to score runs. Mike sounds slightly annoyed but level-headed today.

You definitely make your team by trading away your best (at worst, second best) player and acquiring a 1B/DH that's good but not that good.

He wants them to trade the guy MFY fans were going crazy over? I went to a Christmas party last year after they got Stanton and they were lots of MFY fans barking about how they just got the BEST player in MLB. LOL

By this logic the Sox should offer them Bock Holt if they need versatility. He did have a poor series but Mike's take is pretty hot here.

Before the series, he was talking about how the Red Sox weren't set up for the playoffs, Yankees are the better team, etc.

It's amazing how he makes it sound like the Yankees suffering the worst loss in their entire post season history was no big deal, apparently part of Boone's brilliant plan to save his bullpen for last night. As Mike would have it, down 3-0 after three was an insurmountable deficit for the mighty Yankees, and the Red Sox only scored that many because the Yankees used all their "bad pitchers." Who knew the Yankees had a bunch of little leaguers in their bullpen?

On to Eli now, right? Or will he dig in with a furious defense?? Or just duck it because OBJ is such a tasty target???

He already has incinerated the team for non-QB deficiencies, esp o-line and pass rush.

Edit. Today ought to be good. I didn’t realize he had teed up last night as “last chance” and added: “the bottom line is the nonsense has to stop.”

I think he’ll move slowly on digging Eli’s grave in particular, but he will cash in yesterday’s promise to declare the team dead if they lost to Philly.

I think he’ll eventually acknowledge this season that Eli is done or at least that the Giants need to bring preparing for the ‘post-Eli era’, circa Thanksgiving perhaps.
