I still enjoy his voice as it brings back good memories growing up, but you do have a point. He’s in his mid 80s. If I’m this much of a disaster in my mid 80s I will be very happy since that would mean I’m still alive.
Shit, I'll pay a lot of money right now to guarantee I live to my mid 60's, never mind 80's. But, the man should simply not being calling games anymore. Go play golf with your buddies or shuffleboard or something. He's constantly fumbling over words and names, starts sentences and doesn't remember the point he was going to make by the end of the sentence and just says stuff that makes no sense. I loved him at one time too, but it's over. It's time to make a change.

It really baffles me why people like Marv Albert and Hubie Brown are still broadcasting. Maybe there are some numbers that show the brass at the networks they are still alive but if I made 1/10th the number of mistakes that they do in a four-hour period, I'd be living out of a cardboard box.

Fantastic shooting first half from the Celtics.
Balinelli might not get much play in this series, he's just brutal defensively.

Sixers missed a lot of good looks while Baynes is drilling 3s. But any mismatches they go for it. Good basketball.

Embiid still seems to hate his mask and not be that offensive force he was without it

I'm kind of confused how horford is getting away with his screens, they are moving screens on a lot of plays. Obviously you'll call be biased but it's been pretty blantant as he didn't get called he's stepped it up.

Fantastic start for Celtics

I see both Horford’s moving picks and Embid throwing elbows to clear space. Seems like they are letting them play.

Watching the game tonight, the one thing that stood out more than anything is how differently things would be if PHI take Tatum rather than Fultz. That choice might end up being a deciding factor not just this series but for years to come as these teams match up.

Marcus is probably lucky we were up 18 with 1:44 to play, so Brad could pull him off the floor not to return. He looked like he was about to rip Simmons' eyeballs out of his skull and use them as stress balls after that elbow.

...which was aggressive but not outrageous given that Simmons' elbow height is Smart's face height.

If Philly takes Tatum, their Big 3 dominates the East for a decade. Unless Ainge then takes Mitchell. Then it's on,

Who knows what player the 76ers had on their board at #3 though. Josh Jackson was the consensus before the draft.

But yeah, Simmons, Tatum, and Embiid would really suck for us.

Siakem picking up LBJ fullcourt is awesome. It really pisses the King off.

Have to think its draining for Lebron and could affect his production in the 4th Quarter and a long series.

Love the job Dwayne Casey does.

Love is killing the Cavs right now. Can't hit anything.
Tyronn's stagnant offense is killing the Cavs early in the 2nd half here. There have been many halfcourt sets where LeBron is in iso with 4 players standing still with zero off-ball movement. Painful.

This is not true. Of the most popular Top-7 mocks, 5 of them had Tatum, one had Jackson, and one had Dennis Smith (Draft Express).

Yeah, I was working from memory. Looking back at all of the mocks now, it was much closer to an 50/50 mix of Tatum & Jackson. I wont' quibble over which ones are most popular, so you're probably right.

Lue finally put in Tristan, who's actually playing. Before, Vilichuvis (sic!) was just destroying Cleveland. Now it's a 4 point game.

Toronto is clearly the superior team. Putatively their second best player - Love - is a fucking shitshow.
Toronto's problem, which has been the case in the past, is that they lack a defensive stopper to check LeBron in the 4th quarter. I'm a huge Siakam guy but if he's one of your best options against LeBron you have a serious problem.

I can't figure out who i'm rooting for (in the sense of who I'd want to play if Celtics get by Philly)

Toronto is the better team, but Cavs have James.

LeBron 0-5 halfway through the 4th. Needs to finish strong - can’t afford to waste shooting performance like this from JR and co

The Raptors are barely hanging on here. Not favorable for Toronto not finishing strong. If they lose this game at home, the drumbeats of their history are going to loom large over them the rest of this series.

Add me to the chorus of people saying this has Raptors choke written all over it; highlighted by Lowry’s disappearing act in the fourth quarter.
