Remember that time Tyler zeller tipped in that missed shot for two points and the rivers won the game with a crushing three

That was awesome lol

These games are incredible and so hard to watch.

Allen should be arrested for attempted murder on Brandon Robinson

Poor kid with seat behind Jordan. Not only can you not see, but your feet get wet too.

Regular Season ACC Champs again and end the season (undefeated at home, Duke lost to NC State at home!) with a win over the most celebrated preseason college basketball team in history.

I generally like Bilas but he turns into Herbstreit (v. Michigan) in these games.
He has a good voice for commentary and knows the sport well but his weakness is his bias to duke. It's not over the top like Vitale so I thank him for that. He just can't be critical of K or that team when it comes to fouls, flops, and such. That GA elbow and head snap needed to be called out.

Yea, most productive player on best team. He carried them on offense at times. There was a lack of a clear cut guy. Dennis Smith had a great year, but State sucked so bad.

I'm happy Jackson's 3s started falling this year. Probably played himself into a first round pick.

Ill put in my 2 cents for John Collins. 3rd in points, 2nd in rebounds, 4th in blocks, 1st in fg % and basically put Wake on his back for the last 10 games to carry them to what should be their first tourney birth in 7 years. I am biased on this one, but he is definitely the most underrated player in the conference.

I love John Collins. He's an absolute beast and could really have a coming out party on a national stage this week.

If Duke and Cuse win tomorrow, the top half of the bracket will be Roy vs. Boeheim and Pitino vs. K on Thursday

Remember when Thursday was the 8/9 game and the real tournament didn't start until Friday? How times have changed.

But yes, Duke finishing out of a double bye position is pretty bad, especially since they likely would have had one with a win at either Miami or Syracuse two weeks ago. Or not blowing the home game to NCSU. Ugh

Clemson, Wake, and Pitt win today, setting up Miami/Syracuse, Clemson/Duke, Wake/Virginia Tech, and Virginia/Pitt tomorrow.

Duke's baseball opponent school tomorrow has a better chance of getting to the NCAA basketball tournament than Duke...

There's just a lot of weird/dumb shit to unpack here.

1. Duke doesn't play baseball tomorrow.
2. Duke plays baseball today against Mount Saint Mary's. They won something called the NEC against something called a St. Francis U and so they are headed to the tournament.
3. But, like, so is Duke. Duke's going to be in the NCAA tournament.
4. Duke plays baseball Friday against VA Tech which is on the bubble for the tournament.

I'm so confused.

I wrote the post yesterday, so hence the confusion of today vs. tomorrow.

Mt St Mary's chances of being in the tournament are 100% vs. Duke's 99.9999%...

...and after 1/2 inning Duke baseball trials by 2. I am going to enjoy it while it lasts.

Uh Lunardi has Duke as a 4 seed today. It is 100.0%.

Sick burn by the hometown.

Boeheim on the ACC Tourney:
"There's no value to playing in Greensboro. None."

.@AdamZagoria @ACCSports We kindly disagree. But I guess you can lose in the 1st round anywhere. At least it's a quick ride home.

99.99999% now...

And baseball didn't last. 7-3 Duke now after an error laden 5 run 4th inning.

In other news, where should I go drink in Durham after the game? I decided to stay the night...
Fullsteam Brewery is great; Motorco is a great bar. I'd go with one of those.

I understood Boeheim's point that the ACC Tournament should always be in a big city or big arena, and don't even disagree with it, but Greensboro and the Coliseum is to us what Madison Square Garden was to his beloved Big East - a point Coach K made in his postgame presser that was right on the money.

I think it's great to have NYC, DC, Atlanta, Charlotte, and even Tampa as hosts as well, but I always want Greensboro to be part of the rotation. It is a huge part of the city and the ACC.

Not to mention that the Greensboro Coliseum holds more people than Barclays or MSG. It's tied for the 2nd largest college basketball arena capacity with Rupp Arena. The Carrier Dome is first, but I don't really count that since it's also a football stadium.

Really glad we got to play Miami again and redeem ourselves. Hicks with back-to-back great games.

Tomorrow night is going to be a Final Four caliber game/matchup either way.

Always nice to get that first one in the book, especially against a top 40 RPI/top 30 Kenpom team. Further additions to the resume.

I didn't get to see the UNC game, but it seemed they played well. 21 assist on 28 FGM all while holding Miami to 24 points in 2nd half.

My bosses are all Clemson fans. They never take me up on my offer to come up here to watch them play at the Dean Dome.

It's going to be there next year too. The tournament is scheduled to then go back to Charlotte followed by Greensboro but that is contingent on HB2 being repealed which is far from certain, unfortunately.

The ACC tournament in Greensboro is awesome, I enjoy it more actually than the first two rounds (which were fun to go to a couple of times but the stadiums do a terrible job of showing other scores/games during breaks and so you lose some of the overall madness that is so fun).

This Louisville/Duke game is awesome but man, Giles is a freaking liability at this point. Actually Bolden may be as well.

He just checked in for the first time with 13 minutes left so I was wrong, he's not a liability. He doesn't play.

Both have been all year. It's one of the big reasons why this team just isn't all that good.
But even taking those away and you have 3 incredibly talented scorers in Tatum, Kennard and Allen and a tremendous driving PG in Jackson. They should be better. Their defense in this game has been atrocious.

Is Allen only coming off the bench because of the ankle?
