Rob getting a lot of air time right now with Belichick and Perocchi in his group. He always plays with Perocchi, as they go back a long way, but not sure he's played with BB that many times in this event. Anyway, I'm showing him at -7, 5th (-2 through 7 in the 3rd so far). Would be a massive, massive bump to his year if he could pull a top 10, let alone a top 5, in this event.

Rob is alone in second at the moment. (Of course, they are giving Belichick more airtime, but whatever.)

Would be huge if he had a big finish. Pulling for him.

I didn't draft Rob in the SoSH fantasy golf league this year, so I expect him to pull himself into the top 10 in the world just to spite me.

Getting ahead of yourself is great so what would a top 5 finish do to his PGA tour card and eligibility for the year? Does he need to win to have a real effect?

Outside of winning, I believe he can get his card back if he finishes higher than 125 on the money list. Top 10 finish would obviously be a nice pay day and help with that. Not sure what starts he'll get the rest of the way.

It's all about earnings for him right now. Basically, a top 5 would catapult him up the money list, and the money list determines a lot with respect to getting into tournaments when you don't have a card.

Greg I was just coming in here to post about Rob, he's -9 in a second now, good finish and he can make a years worth of coin....

I haven't been watching all day, was there any mention of Barnes' Pats connection playing with BB? His father was a punter in the 70's...and I think he lost his job to the immortal Eddie Hare

They also mentioned how he has gotten up and down on 13 of the 14 greens he has missed this week.

So fucking nervous for Rob. I don't know if it's better or worse for me to have them show him. Just a couple birdies coming in would be life changing. Literally.

Oh good God. 3 putts from 15 feet. He just does not do that. Had one yesterday too. Like I said, I'd rather they didn't show him. Got to find a way to get it back.

Yeah, dropping from 5 to 9 will cost him about 75K which of course means more to him than anyone else on the leaderboard.

Just really needs that drive on 18

They have not shown it, but shot tracker is indicating that he nearly whiffed his tee shot. (217 yard drive to the right bunkers.) Good thing it's a par 5.

Just needs a par on 18 to get a top 10. Probably finish in a tie for 8th, which would pay over $200,000 and get him into Riviera next week. Just a par, please.

Looks like he is making 18 a tough hole. Drive went 219 into a fairway bunker . Yikes

I don't do Twitter, but apparently Bill Burt just posted that if he pars 18, he'll make $208,000 with a par.

Well, on the plus side if he makes 6 he does end up in a 5 way tie for 9 , but probably loses about 25k

That's huge considering he was alone in 4th 75 minutes ago. Top 10 is key right now. 4th place money would have gone a long way toward a few season goals.
