The more I read of Frank Edelman it makes me wonder...

is he just acting the part or is he really one of those "i'm toughening him up" (i.e. abusive asshole) football dads?

Really no need to soften the feminism message by overreacting to every little thing, either. You guys are becoming PETA.

It's an old guy. Saying stuff.

I do work for fox and I was in the edit trailer for the game. When the falcons scored to make it 28-3 the editors started to make the falcons win piece. Once it was 28-20 a decision was made to start working on both. It was a mad house in there.

If the game was rigged they didn't tell us.

Yes, but the Super Bowl was played in Houston where BOB is the coach, the former Belichick protege. It all adds up.

The funniest are the people thinking the game was rigged because Fox put up a graphic saying Patriots wins (sic) Super Bowl with TD while they were still driving. Idiots think that Fox accidentally slipped they already knew the outcome, and not that they were explaining OT rules.

Of course that's what you would say.

I've always taken "Squats when he pees" to mean a male dog that was snipped too young and still squats rather than in a sexist context. In that case only Theon Greyjoy, Lord Varys and Grey Worm should be offended.

Love it.

I hope they kept the receipts for all that brand new Falcons gear they bought the week before.
One of the best things about the Seahawks reaction videos from 49 is that almost none of the fans in those videos wore a uniform that predated the new uniforms. All current Wilson/Lynch/Chancellor/Sherman jerseys. I think I remember seeing one woman wearing the mid-aughts jersey for a punter.

This time, even less variety. The one black throwback was still a Devonta Freeman jersey. Just Ryan/Freeman/Jones jerseys. I mean, no one could dust off an old Jamaal Anderson jersey for the occasion?

I especially love the people who point to a freeze-frame of James White scoring the winning touchdown, pointing out that he was down before the goal line with part of his bicep circled rather than the ball.

edit: found one. lol

Damn. If the Falcons had stopped him at the 1 inch line there, they definitely would have won the game.

If you're a Falcon fan over the age of 12 and are inclined to wear a jersey, how do you not own a circa-1991 Deion Sanders?

Granted some of those people probably owned Vick jerseys but got rid of them after the dog killing.

At the party I was at tonight, there were cupcakes decorated for both the Patriots and the Falcons. I took all the Patriots cupcakes and threw them out in the snow and simply didn't care. :lolol:
Bad ass Steelers fan.

There are some surprisingly rational folks over there, not like at GangGreen.

These guys are pretty smart:

6 Super Bowls doesn't matter. The QB who got 4 of them called Brady/Belichick the greatest. The QB who got the other 2 sucks Brady off every chance he gets. We are the Patriots bitches. We aren't the greatest franchise in the NFL. They will tie or surpass us anyways but even if they don't. They are the greatest and we are their little brother as our QB said.

reading that board you wouldn't have the sense that the Steelers are having a pretty great run themselves, arguably the second most successful franchise of the 21st century.

They really are the model the Pats hope to emulate in terms of long term success. Stable ownership with long ties to the region, front office and coaching stability. Winning SBs with 3 head coaches and going to Super Bowls with 3 QBs. Good drafting, rare subpar seasons. Good model for the Krafts in the post Brady and BB era.

And like the Pats the Steelers were considered laughingstocks of the league before Noll arrived in 69 and Bradshaw drafted in 70 and the Steel Curtain soon followed.

The cradle of the game.
OK. This SB was fun.

I'm ready for the next one.

Not just because I want the Patriots to get another SB ring. Not just because I want Brady and BB to have 6.

But because a SB victory next year makes it...3 SB's in 4 years. That's a dynasty.

They'll have TWO stretches of full on dynasties - two stretches of 3 SB's in 4 years - with multiple SB appearances, AFC championships, and a perfect season in between.

TWO DYNASTIES INSIDE OF A DYNASTY.

We have the best QB in history and the best coach in history. I'm fucking greedy. Gimme gimme gimme gimme.
Jimmy doesn't get hurt and a goal line punch-in vs. Seattle, and we have The Precious. That's pretty much all that's left, right?

That's what I want.

Brandon Marshall seems very determined to say he's right by saying "The game was over" when it clearly wasn't.

Holy shit Edelman is nuts.

Saying "I caught it, I caught it" while still rolling around on the ground in pile of Falcons. Then saying "My bad" to Alford as they lined up for next play.
