Sox and York
After a one year stay in Johnstown, the Sox move their Eastern League team to York, reviving the York White Roses name. The affiliation would only last the 1962 season, as the Red Sox would move to another Pennsylvania city, Reading. They would, however, reach the playoffs in that season, losing to Elmira in the first round.
