Mota is considered very raw still at 20 years of age, but a 'high ceiling' prospect. Baseball America considers his outfield arm the best in the Red Sox system.
Trivia
- Mota's claim to fame so far is making the throw from left field to the plate that eventually resulted in the Julian Tavarez/Joey Gathright brawl in Spring Training 2006.
