History
Williamsport welcomed the Red Sox for a short 2 year stay, as the Sox moved from Jamestown, NY. The Red Sox would move two years later to Elmira, NY.
The Red Sox did not enjoy their stay much in Pennsylvania, Finishing 6th in their first season, and following that up with a last place finish in 1972. Jim Rice made his professional debut in 1971 in Williamsport, and Dick Berardino started his Red Sox Managerial career with the 1971 team.
