Overall Career

William Wilcy Moore was born on May 20, 1897, in Bonita, Texas. Moore was 29 years old when he broke into the big leagues on April 14, 1927, with the New York Yankees. Moore had a 6-year career as a right handed pitcher. He finished with a record of 51-44, 204 Ks and a 3.70 ERA. At the plate he batted .102 in 205 at-bats. He hit 1 HR and knocked in 4 runs.
