*David Ortiz #51 and #52, at the game

*Watching a 2004 Sox-Yankees game at the local 99 when our power went out

*Clay's no hitter, at home, but cheering with family and friends

*Had a Sox WS party 2007 and kept the balloons

*Booing Johnny Damon on his return to Fenway

*My first game at Fenway in the 1980's, sitting by the field before prices went crazy

*Running into Kevin Youkilis's uncle who I grew up with and hearing about Kevin

*#7 Cleveland-Sox 2007 playoff game, at the game and at the after game

*Out dancing at a Sox-friendly bar during the 2007 WS

*Seeing Bruce Springsteen at Fenway has to count as a major Sox moment

What Made Me a Baseball Babe

Growing up in Cincinnati, my father used to take me to the Reds' games. We went as a family, and met other families and all of us had our traditions to make sure we won. Crosley Field was magical, a huge park from a child's perspective, a place of possibility. Ted Kluzuski had steroid free arms; Frankie Robinson made us proud to be Americans. I saw game after game and kept score at every one.

I watched my dad play baseball and then I played, the only girl in a boys' game, pounding the ball through the window of my neighbor's house, running the bases like there was something to run from. I loved my speedy body and I loved the game. I played softball in school and then, like most girls of my generation, drifted into grown up games.

When I moved to Boston, it took a while to change allegiances especially from the National to the American League. But in the 80's I found the Sox, the ups and the downs that came with being a Soxaholic, I've watched every game from near or far, and I've not looked back.
