Triple Crown
From SoSH
The Triple Crown in baseball is when a batter or pitcher leads the league in batting average, home runs, and RBI (for hitters) or ERA, wins, and strikeouts (for pitchers).
The last hitter to win the Triple Crown was Carl Yastrzemski in 1967. The last NL hitter to win it was Joe Medwick in 1937. The only two-time winners are Rogers Hornsby (1922, 1925) and Ted Williams (1942, 1947).
The last pitcher to win the Triple Crown was Johan Santana in 2006. The last NL pitcher to win it was Randy Johnson in 2002. Grover Cleveland Alexander won 4 Triple Crowns in his career, the most by any pitcher.
