Thomas Noble "Rebel" Oliver (January 15, 1903 - February 26, 1988) was 27 years old when he broke into the big leagues on April 14, 1930 with the Boston Red Sox.

Overall Career
Oliver had a 4-year career as a center fielder with the Red Sox. In 514 games he batted .277 with 0 HR and 176 RBI. Oliver thrilled Boston fans with his speed and strong arm. He lacked power but posted acceptable averages, and led the AL with 646 at-bats as a rookie in 1930.
After his playing career ended, Oliver was a member of the Philadelphia Athletics coaching staff from 1951 to 1953 and a Baltimore Orioles coach in 1954.
