Thomas Henry Burgmeier (born on August 2, 1943 in St. Paul, Minnesota) was a left-handed pitcher with a 17-year career from 1968 to 1984. He pitched in 213 games for the Boston Red Sox from 1978 to 1982.

Overall Career
Burgmeier was 24 years old when he broke into the big leagues on April 10, 1968 with the California Angels. A consistent and durable reliever, Burgmeier had 102 lifetime saves. Signed by Houston in 1961, he debuted with California, and went to the Royals in the 1968 expansion draft. In 1971, he was 9-7 with 17 saves and a 1.74 ERA.
On November 2, 1977, the Royals granted Burgmeier free agency, and on February 17, 1978 he signed with the Boston Red Sox. He had a career-high 24 saves for Boston in 1980 and elected to the American League All-Star team. After 5 seasons with the Red Sox, Burgmeier signed with the Oakland Athletics in the 1982 offseason.
In 2006, Burgmeier was named pitching coach for the Omaha Royals, Kansas City's Triple-A affiliate.

- On August 3, 1980 Tom Burgmeier finished the last inning of a 6-4 win over Texas in right field. He was the first Red Sox pitcher to play a position since Mike Ryba caught in three games in 1942.
