Overall Career
Terrance Darnell Shumpert (born August 16, 1966, in Paducah, KY), was a Major League Baseball utility player. Drafted by the Kansas City Royals in the 2nd round of the 1987 MLB amateur draft, Shumpert would make his Major League Baseball debut with the Kansas City Royals on May 1, 1990. He last appeared in a Major League game during the 2003 season.
He played for the Red Sox in 1995 for 21 games in Boston (234/294/298 AVG/OBP/SLG)and 37 games at AAA Pawtucket (271/344/368).
His career year was probably 1999 when he played 99 games for the Rockies hitting 347/413/584 in 262 AB.
Terry had a very short visit with the Red Sox after 2003 when he was signed and released before the 2004 season began. He was signed on February 20, 2004, and played in 14 spring training games before being released on on March 20, 2004.
