The Syracuse Chiefs are a minor league baseball team based in Syracuse, New York. The team was named the SkyChiefs from 1996-2006, but the nickname was changed back to the Chiefs in December 2006. The team, which plays in the International League, is the Triple-A affiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays. The Chiefs have played at Alliance Bank Stadium (formerly P&C Stadium), since 1997. Previously, the team played at MacArthur Stadium.

Franchise History
Red Sox and the Chiefs
The Red Sox entered their second year of affiliating with minor league teams in 1934 with one team, the Syracuse Chiefs. The Red Sox would continue this affiliation for three seasons, before moving to Minnesota.
The 1935 team won The Governor's Cup, winning the International League Playoffs.
