Steven Wayne Pearce (born April 13, 1983 in Lakeland, FL), was selected by the Boston Red Sox in the 10th Round, 3055th pick of the 2004 Amateur Draft. Pearce never signed with the Red Sox and went on to be drafted in the 8th round the Pittsburgh Pirates, in the 2005 Amatuer Draft.

Scouting Report
- Has big-time home run power and the ability to hit for average. Is capable of driving in a lot of runs and can play either first base or the outfield. Doesn't really have a position to call his own, and will be a below-average fielder no matter where he plays. Needs to keep his strikeout total in check.

Amateur Career
- Played four years at Lakeland High School under Coach Don Nipper with a .400 career average, seven homers. Enrolled at South Carolina in the fall of 2003 after two seasons at Indian River Community College where he hit 17 career home runs and led team in batting average both seasons. Steven batted .418 with 12 HR and 42 RBI in 2003 season at Indian River CC, batting average was sixth highest in FCCAA. Triple crown winner in 2004 with .346 batting average, 21 home runs, 70 RBI. Set school record with 1.000 fielding percentage (416 PO, 22 A, 0 E) in 50 games at first base. Also appeared in 21 games at third base.
