Spring Training
From SoSH
Current Location
The Red Sox have trained in Fort Myers, Florida since spring 1993. City of Palms Park is located in 'beautiful' downtown Fort Myers, FL. Built in 1992 with a capacity of 7290, the stadium is spring training home to the Red Sox and full time home to rookie league Gulf Coast Red Sox. In 2003, the lease was renewed for an additional 15 years. In 2004 a tradition was started of taking dirt from the infield at city of palms park to be placed at Fenway Park at the Red Sox discretion for good luck.
