Overall Career
William Jennings Bryan Harriss (born December 11, 1896 in Brownwood, Texas) was a hard-throwing tall right-hander. He was 23 years old when he broke into the big leagues on April 19, 1920 with the Philadelphia Athletics.
Harriss had a 9-year career as a right handed pitcher. He finished with a record of 95-135, 644 Ks and a 4.25 ERA in 1,750.1 innings. His only winning season was 1925 (19-12). He led the AL in losses in 1927, with 21 for the Red Sox.
