Overall Career
Rod "Shooter" Beck is probably best remembered for serving up a 10th-inning meatball to Bernie Williams that cost the Red Sox the first game of the 1999 American League Championship Series[1].
On June 24, 2007 Beck was found dead in his Phoeniz, AZ home. The 38 year old Beck is survived by his wife, Stacy, and their two daughters. [2] He was buried in a Chicago Cubs uniform. [3]
