John Peter "Red" Kleinow was born on July 20, 1877, in Milwaukee, WI. Kleinow was 26 years old when he broke into the big leagues on May 3, 1904, with the New York Yankees.
Kleinow had a 8-year career as a catcher. In 584 games he batted .213 with 354 hits, 3 HR and 135 RBI.
