Overall Career
Mendoza was signed by the New York Yankees as a non-drafted free agent in 1991. He made his major league debut in 1996 and spent 7 unremarkable years there before signing a free agent contract with the Red Sox in 2002. After pitching 96 innings in 2 years at Fenway Park, Doza went back to the dark side and signed a minor league contract with the Yankees.
