No-hitter

A game in which a pitcher (or a group of pitchers) throws for nine innings or more without giving up a hit. Here are the Red Sox Players who have thrown a no-hitter.

Unfortunately Pedro Martinez is not on the list, and Matt Young is.

When a pitcher goes nine innings without letting a single batter reach base (no hits, walks, reached on errors, hit batsmen, or dropped third strikes) the no-hitter becomes a perfect game. To date only Cy Young is on the list of Red Sox Players who have thrown a perfect game.
