Michael August Timlin (born March 10, 1966 in Midland, TX) was drafted by the Toronto Blue Jays in June of 1987 in the fifth round. In July of 1997, the Blue Jays traded Mike to the Seattle Mariners (along with pitcher Paul Spoljaric) to the Seattle Mariners for Jose Cruz. Married to Dawn Timlin

  • As a Blue Jay, picked up the save in Game 6 of the 1992 World Series. Called to the mound with one out remaining, he fielded an Otis Nixon bunt and threw it to first baseman Joe Carter, and the Blue Jays won their first championship.
  • Became the 13th pitcher in Major League History to appear in 1000 games.

  • As of 2005, Timlin is the only active player to have played on three non-New York Yankees championship teams (the 1992 and 1993 Toronto Blue Jays and the 2004 World Series Boston Red Sox).
