Overall Career
Dominic Joseph Ryba (born on June 9, 1903 in DeLancey, PA), was a right handed relief pitcher, who played six seasons for the Boston Red Sox in the 1940s. Ryba made his major league debut with the St Louis Cardinals on September 22, 1935 at the age of 32. 5 years later, his rights were purchased from the Cardinals by the Boston Red Sox, where he played until released in October of 1946. He has a career record of 52-34 with an ERA of 3.66. His most impressive season came in 1944, when he went 12-7 with a 3.33 ERA. Ryba passes away on December 13, 1971.
