Mike Fornieles (January 18, 1932 - February 11, 1998) was a right-handed pitcher for the Washington Senators (1952), Chicago White Sox (1953-1956), Baltimore Orioles (1956-1957), Boston Red Sox (1957-1963) and Minnesota Twins (1963).

Overall Career
Mike Fornieles spent his first seven seasons in the majors working both as a starter and out of the bullpen. He achieved his greatest success with the Red Sox when used exclusively in relief. In 1960 he went 10-5 and led the league with 14 saves and an AL-record 70 appearances, and in 1961 he had a career-high 15 saves and made the All-Star team. Fornieles ended his career with 11 games for the Minnesota Twins in 1963.
In his 12-years in the big leagues, Fornieles compiled a 63-64 record with 20 complete games, 4 shutouts, 55 saves, 576 strikeouts, 421 walks and a 3.96 ERA in 1156.2 innings pitched.
