Louis Paul "Chief" Leroy was born on February 18, 1879, in Omro, WI. LeRoy was 26 years old when he broke into the big leagues on September 22, 1905, with the New York Yankees.
LeRoy had a three-year career as a right-handed pitcher. He finished with three wins, 39 Ks and a 3.22 ERA in 72.2 IP. He had a career high ten saves in 1906.
