Before 1950 Season: Signed by the New York Yankees as an amateur free agent.
February 8, 1956: Traded by the New York Yankees with a player to be named later, Herb Plews, Dick Tettelbach, and Bob Wiesler to the Washington Senators for Mickey McDermott and Bobby Kline. The New York Yankees sent Whitey Herzog (April 2, 1956) to the Washington Senators to complete the trade.
May 1, 1958: Traded by the Washington Senators to the Boston Red Sox for Ken Aspromonte.
December 2, 1958: Traded by the Boston Red Sox to the Detroit Tigers for Herb Moford.
