- Centerfielder with a good arm, a great glove, and an average bat. Average speed and power, above average on base ability. Provides outfield depth with some options, Van Every will likely be insurance for Boston while roaming the outfield in McCoy. Minor League Career
Jonathan's minor league career began in 2001. He advanced to AA in 2005, and AAA in 2006. After consecutive 20+ HR seasons in 2004 and 2005, his home run totals dipped in his final two seasons in the Cleveland organization. He's known for his power and high strikeout rate.
