James Drew Anderson Jr (born January 22, 1976 in Portsmouth, Virginia) is a left-handed pitcher that appeared in five games for the Red Sox in 2004. He is currently a member of the Florida Marlins organization.

Overall Career
Drafted by the Pittsburgh Pirates in the ninth round of the 1994 amateur draft, Anderson made his debut for the Bucs in 1999. After four seasons with Pittsburgh, Anderson appeared in eight games for the Cincinatti Reds in 2003 posting a dismal 1-5 record with a 8.84 ERA in 38.2 innings pitched.
Anderson spent the first half of 2004 between Triple-A Iowa and the Cubs before the Red Sox acquired him in a trade for minor leaguer Andrew Shipman on July 2. He appeared in a total of five games for Boston, giving up 4 earned runs in 6 innings pitched. His brief Red Sox career came to an end 20 days later when he was designated for assignment.
In a six-season major league career, Anderson has posted a 25-47 record with 241 strikeouts and a 5.42 ERA in 574.2 innings pitched
