Jim Tabor (born November 5th, 1916 in New Hope, Alabama) had 95 RBI his rookie season, but his accomplishments were overshadowed by another rookie, Ted Williams . Tabor is still one of only four Red Sox to hit two grand slams in one game, along with Rudy York, Nomar Garciaparra, and Bill Mueller (Not surprisingly, a major league record). He also teamed up with Jimmie Foxx, Ted Williams, and Joe Cronin to hit four home runs in one inning. Not bad company. Tabor was sold to the Philadelphia Phillies in 1946.
