James W. Buckley (born September 14, 1979 in Kansas City, Missouri) spent five seasons in the Red Sox minor league organization. After being released by the Sox in 2006, Buckley signed on with the Independent League Somerset Patriots.

Overall Career

Drafted by the Boston Red Sox in the 25th round of the 2002 amateur draft, Buckley spent his entire career in the Red Sox organization (making stops at every minor league level) before being released in June 2006.

On July 27, 2006, Buckley signed with the Somerset Patriots of the independent Atlantic League where he hit .211/.294/.316 with 2 home runs and 7 RBI in 76 at-bats.
