Jesus Delgado
Delgado is a hard throwing right hander signed by the Red Sox as an undrafted free agent in 2001. His debut in the minors was delayed by Tommy John Surgery in 2002. He debut with the GCL Red Sox in 2004, appearing in one game. He then Played for Single-A Augusta, posting a 5.22 ERA in 16 starts, 21 games. He was 1-5. He then played 3 games in winter league ball. In 2005, Delgado was assigned to Single-A Greenville. He played in 33 games, all in relief, and posted a 7-3 record with a 3.50 ERA. Played in that years Arizona Fall League (10 games, 4.08 ERA) before being traded to Florida with Anibal Sanchez, Harvey Garcia, and Hanley Ramirez for Josh Beckett, Guillermo Mota and Mike Lowell.
Pitching for Single-A Jupiter in Florida's system in 2006, Delgado had 28 relief apperances, 2-4, 2.58 ERA.
