Overall Career
Jeffrey Joseph Fassero (born January 5, 1963 in Springfield, IL), was a starting pitcher in Major League Baseball for parts of 16 seasons (1991-2006). Fassero bounced between the American & National League mutiple time during his journeyman career, and found himself in Boston for the 2000 season. During the 2000 season Fassero was used as both a starter and reliever, posting an 8-8 record with a 4.78 ERA, in 38 appearances. Following the 2000 season Fassero was granted free agency, and he signed on with the Chicago Cubs.

- June 13, 1994: As a member of the Montreal Expos, Fassero carried a no-hitter vs. the Pittsburgh Pirates into the 9th inning. After retiring the first two batters, Pittsburgh 2B Carlos Garcia reached on an infield single. Pittsburgh SS Jay Bell followed with a home run, knocking Fassero out of the game.The Expos held on for a 10-2 victory.

Trivia
- Appeared with Scott Rolen, Todd Hundley, Cliff Floyd and various other Major League Baseball players in a Saturday Night Live sketch with Chris Kattan and Will Ferrell. In the sketch, a young boy (Kattan), dreams that he will someday be a professional baseball player. Several players, including Fassero, appear from his closet during the night and quickly sour his aspirations by showing their "off-the-field" personas as smokers, tokers, keggers and strip club patrons.
