Overall Career

Jason Michael Johnson (born October 27, 1973 in Santa Barbara, California), was the 40th (and by far worst) member of the 2006 Boston Red Sox. He was acquired from the Cleveland Indians partly for his "great sinker"... which he failed to exhibit... even once. Red Sox fans rejoyced when he was Designated for Assignment following a critical game against the New York Yankees - a loss which SHOCKINGLY he was not totally responsible for. He is currently a member of the Seibu Lions organization.

Trivia

  • Sucks at baseball.
  • Also sucks at holding runners on base, as evidenced by Carl Crawford's steal of home against Johnson in a July 5, 2006 game at Tropicana Field. Box Score
  • Johnson has diabetes and was the first Major League Baseball player ever to be allowed to wear an insulin pump on the field, which regulates the amount of insulin pumped into his body.
