Jarvis Tatum appeared in the majors for parts of three years from 1968 through 1970. He was traded to the Boston Red Sox in 1970 but would never play for them.

Overall Career
Jarvis Tatum was selcted in the 16th round of the 1965 amateur draft by the California Angels. He made his major lague debut on September 8, 1968, going 0-4 against the Boston Red Sox. In three seasons with the Angels, Tatum would appear in 102 games, hitting .232 with 0 HR's and 8 RBI.
On October 11, 1970 Tatutm was traded by the California Angels with Doug Griffin and Ken Tatum to the Boston Red Sox for Tony Conigliaro, Ray Jarvis, and Jerry Moses. Tatum was released by the Sox on April 17 of the following year. Tatum may have played for Yakult Atoms of Japan's Central Baseball League in 1971.
Jarvis Tatum died on January 6, 2003 in Los Angeles, California.
